I'm a Yorkshire lass originally - lived in Scarborough for 26 years before moving to London where I now reside with my DH and 13 month-old son. Will probably spend the rest of my days down South but will always be a Yorkshire lass in my heart :D
Can take the lass out of Yorkshire but you can't take the Yorkshire out of the girl

Hello and welcome :)
I'm a Derbyshire lass but my beloved Great-Nan was from Yorkshire. She'd have been right with you on not being able to take the Yorkshire out of the girl

 Yeah I sooooo miss the fresh air and I REALLY miss being able to see the stars at night. They're so clear where my parents live but down here you can hardly see anything due to light pollution.

Wotcha, which Northern bit are you in? I'm up in Yorkshire on the border between West and North Yorkshire.

ETA: I see you answered this :) I used to go on day trips to Scarborough, Brid and Filey as a kid.
